Pamela Mirsky is the Director of the Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison service at Banner University Medical Center Tucson and is Assistant Professor through the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She grew up near Philadelphia and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Pennsylvania in 2003. In 2007 she received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, where she also trained as an intern in Psychiatry. She completed her psychiatry residency training at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 2011 and then went on to do a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine/Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry through Harvard Medical School at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Boston VA Medical Center from 2011 to 2012. She is board-certified in both Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine/Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and specializes in providing health care for persons with comorbid psychiatric and general medical conditions. In March 2018 she completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. She has a special interest in mindfulness and Vipassana (insight) meditation and teaches Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) groups for depression.
